Ahead of Halloween, Fanatical has kicked off a big sale with some scary good deals on horror hits as well as games with tropes from the genre such as zombies, vampires, and ghosts. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales are also prominently featured on the Frightfest sale landing page. Since Spider-Man is a very popular Halloween costume, we suppose it fits the theme–and both games are nearly 50% off, so they are awesome deals regardless. Most of the games in the sale are Steam keys that can be redeemed instantly.
The standalone discounts are complemented by the new build-your-own Frightmare Bundle with 19 games to choose from, including Doom (2016), The Evil Within 1 and 2, and Dead Island Definitive Collection, which actually comes with three games. Best of all, you could get all of the Steam games we just listed for only $11.68 total.
One of our favorite standalone deals is for the recently released Silent Hill 2 remake, which is now just $54.59 (was $70). The remake features radically improved gameplay and modernized graphics with support for advanced tech like ray tracing, so it’s a great match for high-end gaming rigs. It also benefits from a new over-the-shoulder perspective. This deal disappears after Halloween, however, so you don’t have much time left to cash in on the offer. If you want a handful of digital goodies, check out Silent Hill 2’s Digital Deluxe Edition, which comes with a digital art book and soundtrack, for $62.39 (was $80).

If you want to spend Halloween slaying zombies, you have numerous solid options, including the bloody action-RPG Dead Island 2 for $22.49 (was $50). Aside from brutal combat and grotesque enemies, it gives you plenty of stats and gear to manage. It’s a great cooperative game, especially if you’re looking for a fun way to spend your Halloween evening.
Then there’s also PlayStation’s not-zombie games Days Gone for $11.49 (was $50) and The Last of Us Part I for $32.39 (was $60). Days Gone’s fast-moving, flesh-eating creatures travel in massive packs and are technically called Freakers (they are fast zombies). It’s one of the weaker games from PlayStation Studios from the last decade, but there’s still fun to be had and lots of zombies to run over with Deacon St. John’s motorcycle. The Last of Part I, meanwhile, is a great remake of one of the most beloved PlayStation games of all time. It has revamped mechanics inspired by The Last of Us Part II and updated graphics. The Last of Us Part I is on sale for. only $32.39 (was $60), so now’s a good time to add it to your Steam library.
Frightfest also includes some notable deals on hit indie games published by Devolver Digital. Cult of the Lamb, which is almost certainly the funniest game about running a cult ever made, is up for grabs for 50% off. If you like action-RPGs, rogue-likes, or base management games, you should definitely give it a try. Rogue-like enthusiasts who haven’t played the unique and unsettling deck-building game Inscryption can pick it up for only $8. The less you know about Inscryption going in, the better, but it’s a wicked delight. And if you feel like being the unseemly creature from a monster movie, the “reverse horror” game Carrion is all about pulverizing humans as a tentacled-creature. It’s only six bucks right now.
Not all of these discounts vanish on Halloween, with many lingering around into November. If you find a game you’re interested in, double-check the store page to make sure you don’t miss out on the price cut.
